Lillian Oppermann, 91, Waupun

Lillian Oppermann, 91, Waupun, passed away Monday, Dec. 17, 2018, at Prairie Ridge Assisted Living in Waupun.

Lillian was born Feb. 20, 1927, a daughter of Charley and Bertha (Mudrova) Belohradsky. She was united in marriage to Darwin Oppermann on June 12, 1948, in Waupun. Lillian liked going for walks and spending time with children. She worked at Christian Home for many years until her retirement. Lillian was a member of Pella Lutheran Church.

Lillian is survived by her three children, Darvin “Chuck” (Kathy) Oppermann of Tennessee, Darlene (Georg) Fuhrer of Beaver Dam, and Wayne (Jennifer) Oppermann of Waupun; six grandchildren, Clint (Jeri) Oppermann of Tennessee, Cass (Annamarie) Oppermann of Florida, Jonathan (Amanda) Oppermann of California, Amanda (Alan) Lang of Waupun, Ian (Morgan) Fuhrer of Beaver Dam, and Chelsimae Fuhrer of Beaver Dam; numerous great-grandchildren; one sister, Marcella Hanson of Minnesota; four sisters-in-law, Donna Vande Berg, Carol Oppermann, Alice Oppermann and Beulah Opperman; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Darwin; two sisters, Helen (Arlie) Shoemaker and Mary (Alvin) Kiepe; four brothers-in-law, Donald Vande Berg, Barnard Oppermann, Landon Oppermann and Marvin Oppermann.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 19, at Kohls Community Funeral Home, 405 West Main Street, Waupun, and on Thursday, Dec. 20, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Pella Lutheran Church, 315 South Madison Street, Waupun.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 20, at Pella Lutheran Church with the Rev. David Knuth officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Mound Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been directed to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 North Michigan Ave. Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.

Kohls Community Funeral Home is serving the family.
