3 Charged in Target Store Robbery
LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Three young men accused of robbing a Target store faced charges that could bring multiple life sentences.
The three were charged Wednesday with robbery, attempted robbery, kidnapping and assault with a deadly weapon.
Laron Vashon Bass, 20, and Omar Ahea Samuels, 22, pleaded innocent Wednesday. Both men have prior robbery convictions.
Bass’ brother Charles Allison Bass, 16, pleaded innocent Tuesday to four counts of robbery and was to return to court next Tuesday.
More than 60 employees were in the Culver City, Calif. store when robbers stormed the building before dawn Monday, police said.
Police arrested Samuels and Laron Bass as they allegedly tried to pass themselves off as freed hostages. Charles Bass fled the building and was found hiding in a creek bed nearby, police said.
