AGGRAVATED ASSAULT/DISORDERLY CONDUCT, BULLHEAD CITY — Chris Lavelle Cooper, 47, was arrested Sept. 11 after police were called to the 1700 block of Tejon Drive for a report of a weapons offense. It was determined that some people were having a disagreement in the neighborhood, police spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said, and that Cooper had pointed a simulated firearm in the direction of three people during the verbal altercation. He then pulled the trigger, she said, firing several small pellets. Cooper was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault and disorderly conduct and taken to the Mohave County Jail in Kingman.
CRIMINAL THREAT, BULLHEAD CITY — Thomas Alan Yakaitis, 59, was arrested Sept. 12 after police were called to Western Arizona Regional Medical Center for a report of a male patient mad about not getting the medication he wanted. Yakaitis reportedly told hospital staff that he would retrieve a weapon from his car and shoot everyone in the emergency room. Yakaitis was arrested on suspicion of making terroristic threats. Yakaitis was medically cleared at WARMC and taken to the Mohave County Jail in Kingman.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, BULLHEAD CITY — Tanya LeEunice Arruda, 19, was arrested Sept. 12 after police were called to the 2400 block of Highland Trail for a report of a disorderly female subject. When officers arrived, Arruda reportedly refused to cooperate with police and kept trying to leave. Her boyfriend reportedly told police that she had damaged the door to the residence. She was arrested on suspicion of refusing to identify herself to police, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct per domestic violence and criminal damage per domestic violence. Arruda was taken to the Mohave County Jail in Kingman.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, BULLHEAD CITY — Jamal Walter Heim, 26, was arrested Sept. 12 in the 1700 block of Rollando Drive after he reportedly started arguing with his girlfriend after drinking alcohol. It also was reported that he had physically assaulted her by grabbing her shoulders, not allowing her leave, Fromelt said. Heim also reportedly punched the victim in her face and broke her phone and the bedroom door. He was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct per domestic violence, assault per domestic violence and criminal damage per domestic violence and taken to the Mohave County Jail in Kingman.
UNLICENSED DOG, BULLHEAD CITY — Dara Sue Tristan, 39, was cited three times Sept. 12 by animal care and welfare officers for having an unlicensed dog after going to the Bullhead City animal shelter to claim her dogs.
