HAMMOND, La. (AP) _ Troy Green scored 25 points Thursday to lead Southeastern Louisiana to a 84-78 victory over Arkansas-Monticello.

Southeastern (2-2) won despite shooting only 39 percent from the floor and hitting just 10 of 37 3-pointers.

The loss kept UAM (0-9) winless on the year.

Noble Evans led Southeastern with a career-high 15 rebounds. Evans added 13 points, Andre Lewis scored 14 and Mark Guliana chipped in 11.

Chris Daniels led UAM with 20 points. Adam Patrick added 16 and Marlon Williams chipped in 14.

Southeastern built its biggest lead of the game at 43-27 with 2:27 to go in the first half. But UAM chipped away and closed within 45-36 at halftime.

UAM then made it interesting in the second half, holding Southeastern scoreless over a three-minute span.

But Jason Kay’s dunk with 4:28 left to go in the game put Southeastern on top 70-69 and the Lions never looked back.
