Thieves Break Into Madonna’s Home
LONDON (AP) _ Thieves broke into Madonna’s new London home and stole a vehicle, police said.
British newspapers said in their Saturday editions that the 42-year-old pop star, her two children and boyfriend Guy Ritchie, 32, were asleep upstairs during the burglary at their home in Notting Hill.
The vehicle, a Range Rover, was recovered. Police said a number of other items were stolen, the reports said.
The robbery occurred Thursday night, Madonna’s spokeswoman, Liz Rosenberg, said from the United States. She gave no further details.
The robbery came just weeks after Madonna said she had chosen to live in London because she felt secure there.
