Updates from Day 2 of K’s camp

October 2, 2018

Marco Roy is expected to arrive in Fort Wayne tonight, though the Komets aren’t entirely sure if they’ll have him practice Wednesday. He had been with Laval of the American Hockey League.

The standout of the intra-squad scrimmage today may have been rookie Mathieu Nadeau, who had the only two goals, both from within 25 feet.

Newly signed defenseman Chase Stewart was on hand but not on the ice yet.

There were a lot of turnovers, but that’s to be expected early. The biggest thing you want to see is a fast pace, and there was that today.

I’ve got some video from the scrimmage above.

By the way, Michael Houser, who was the Komets’ goaltender last season, appears to be back with the Cincinnati Cyclones, He was assigned to them today by Rochester of the AHL.
