2018 Northeast Nebraska Walk to End Alzheimer’s set for this Sunday
NORFOLK - You are invited to take a walk around Skyview Lake this weekend for the 2018 Northeast Nebraska Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
Chair of the walk, Katy Novotny says along with the walk there will be kid’s games, a raffle, and food.
Committee Member Jarad Dahlkoetter says a lot of the money raised stays in Northeast Nebraska.
“There is a Alzheimer’s Association Nebraska Chapter and they actually do a lot of work in our community. Some of the funds raised do go to support Alzheimer’s prevention and care in our community. They do workshops, support groups, and of course give a big chunk to research.”
Novotny says they raised over $37,000 last year and their goal this year is to raise $42,000.
Registration begins at noon Sunday with the walk beginning at 1:30.
