Dale P. Mayotte, 77, of Chebanse, passed away Monday (Sept. 10, 2018) at his home.
He was born May 11, 1941, in Kankakee, the son of Philip and Dorothy Hiser Mayotte.
Dale married Gwen Ek Feb. 10, 1968, at Sts. Mary and Joseph Catholic Church in Chebanse.
Dale had been an electrician and retired from IBEW Union Local 176.
He enjoyed spending time with family, especially family night at home every Wednesday night.
Dale enjoyed tinkering with and finding old treasures to fix.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during Vietnam.
Surviving are his wife, of Chebanse; one son, Matthew Mayotte, of Chebanse; one daughter and son-in-law, Paige and Matt Peters, of Chebanse; one son-in-law and daughter-in-law, Ryan and Kristin Lowery, of Ashkum; six grandchildren, Austen Lowery, Avanna Lowery, Jackson Gray, Collin Lowery, Chloe Peters and Bailey Peters; five sisters, Sharon Emme, of Chebanse, Barbara and Thomas Mulcahy, of Bourbonnais, Jeannine and Jack Chivatero, of Louisville, Ky., Janet Hertz, of Chebanse, and Lu Locke, of Warrenville; along with many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; one daughter, Lynne Lowery; one granddaughter, Danielle Mayotte; and one brother, Maynard Mayotte.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018, at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais, where funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 14. The Rev. Hank Roso will officiate the services. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Chebanse.
