Orchids and Onions: Sunday, December 23, 2018

December 23, 2018

Another beautiful day in Havasu...

Orchids to Discount Tire, you were super busy but stopped to make time to adjust my air pressure in my truck. I appreciate your excellent customer service.

Onions to the thief. Laser Christmas lights stolen from the front of my place on Silver Clipper Lane. They were running around 8 p.m. last night, but are gone now. Not happy to have thieves in this nice city.

Orchids to the three gentlemen at Basha’s who tried to help me find my favorite wine. They were quick to assist — too bad the wine is out of stock!

Onions to the couple saying, after finding out I was “Ranger Terry’ that I was stupid for caring more for others than myself. I am sorry to those that I have offended by being kind. “Ranger Terry.”

Orchids to City Council for denying proposed business along 95. The city can and should do better on land use. Onions to staff for recommending it.

Onions to the new center divider on Lake Havasu Ave. What is the point, other than to restrict access to the businesses there? Why can’t the highway be landscaped? It’s a disgrace!

Orchids to the gentleman who paid for the elderly lady’s haircut. It renewed my Christmas spirit. I plan to help another person to be happy. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Onions to the store for hiring an out of town Santa. How much did you goons pay to bring that clown to town? My out of work pal offered to do the gig for a reasonable rate. You get what you pay for baby, and you got just that!

Orchids for the city council doing something right; because a car wash we don’t need, as well as any more banks, but these cash-giving places I am sick of. We have to have more to do, even old folks need it.
