Talk on Stevenson Dam at Monroe Senior Center
MONROE —The Monroe Historical Society, in collaboration with the Monroe Senior Center will present an historic and educational centennial celebration of the Stevenson Dam at 2 p.m. May 19 at the Monroe Senior Center, 235 Cutler Farm Road.
The program will be presented by celebrated local historian and Stevenson Dam expert John Babina who is a life member of the Monroe Historical Society. Babina will present the history of the dam’s original planning, its state-of-the-art construction methods and the effects of the project on local communities in Monroe, Oxford and the many towns that line Lake Zoar.
All of this history is will be complemented by a collection of period photos.

There is no admission charged for this Monroe Historical Society program.
