TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) _ Kevin Cox passed for 321 yards and three touchdowns Saturday night to lead Indiana State to a 41-14 win over Glenville State.

Cox completed 24-of-38 passes as the Sycamores (2-1) built leads of 20-0 and 41-7 in cruising to the win.

Tom Allison opened scoring for Indiana State with a 46-yard field goal with 4:01 to play in the first quarter. The Sycamores scored again with 2:25 to play in the first half on a 30-yard pass from Cox to Adam Evans, who caught five passes for 91 yards in the game.

On Glenville State’s next possession, Mike Likens returned a fumble 7 yards to make it 17-0 at halftime.

After a 34-yard field goal by Allison, Glenville State (1-1) scored its first touchdown when Rod Smith connected with Kevin Waterfield on a 40-yard TD pass.

The Sycamore scored on their next possession on a 7-yard TD pass from Cox to Ben Wolfe, and Cox closed the third quarter with a 25-yard scoring pass to Courtland Tubbs.

Tracy Pendleton put Indiana State ahead 41-7 with a 2-yard touchdown run before Rod Smith scored Glenville State’s second touchdown with a 1-yard run with 4:26 to play in the game.

Indiana State had 505 total yards as the two teams combined to pound out 839 total yards in the game.
