Man found dead after kitchen fire in Pennsylvania home
GREENSBURG, Pa. (AP) — Authorities say fire claimed the life of a man in western Pennsylvania over the weekend.
The Westmoreland County coroner’s office says 32-year-old Matthew Pacacha was pronounced dead at the scene of the Hempfield Township fire.
Fire crews were called to the scene shortly before 5 a.m. Sunday after multiple witnesses reported the home on fire. Another man inside the home was able to escape.
The cause and manner of death is pending the results of toxicology tests.
State police say the blaze started in the kitchen. The cause remains under investigation.
