Spare Change to perform at Florence After Five
FLORENCE, S.C. – The next-to-last Florence After Five of 2018 will feature Spare Change.
Based in La Grange, North Carolina, Spare Change is one of the Carolinas’ most well-known and respected party bands, according to its website. The band’s repertoire consists of rock, country, beach, funk, rap, current Top 40 hits and classic rock.
Spare Change features five singers (including a female), a rapper, a trumpet player and an electric violinist. The band also features choreographed dances, audience participation and nonstop motion on stage help drive an energy level that will have the crowd happily exhausted by the end of the night.
Florence After Five, a concert series created to prove the viability of the downtown market, begins at 5:30 p.m. on the 100 block of South Dargan Street (between Cheves and Evans streets). Food and beverages are available for purchase. To purchase food and beverages, visitors must purchase tickets from a booth in the driveway next to the Waters Building. The concert series started in April, and it will end on Oct. 26.
