Barberton Mum Fest to feature 17,000 chrysanthemums

BARBERTON, Ohio – The Barberton Mum Festival, the city’s colorful annual tradition, will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 29-30 at Lake Anna Park.

Some 17,000 chrysanthemums will serve as the backdrop for the festival, which is in its 28th year. The festival will feature entertainment, arts and crafts, gardening tips and food.

Entertainment to be featured includes performances by the Chippewa Lake Water Ski Show Team, canoe races, a scavenger hunt, a musical garden and children’s crafts and inflatables. Characters from Part of their World will also be at the event.

Musical entertainment will be provided by Sobos, New Horizons and the ETC Children’s Choir.

Festival admission is free. Off-site parking will be available at Barberton Middle School, 477 4th Street Northwest. A free shuttle service will be available to transport guests to and from the park.
