Kenova United Methodist Church offers many merry activities through December
KENOVA — On Friday, Dec. 14, at 7 p.m, the Chancel Choir and Praise Band, under the direction of Randy Davis, will present “Joyful News, Good News” Christmas cantata. The Christmas story will be revealed through songs and narrations. There will also be a special appearance of the children of the church. The “Joyful News, Good News” Christmas cantata will present a second showing Sunday, Dec. 16, at 11 a.m.
On Saturday, Dec. 15, from 9 to 11 a.m., the 1820 Something Ministry will host a Magical Pancake Breakfast with Santa and friends featuring Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Accompany the breakfast is holiday games, crafts, and a build your own pancake bar. Here, guests can toppings to make a magical breakfast concoction. Christmas photo opportunities are also available. Cost is $5 per person or a max of $20 for a family.
Proceeds from the breakfast are planned to help the needy at Christmas time.
Then following these events, the children will present the “Live Nativity” in the side yard of the church Wednesday, Dec. 19. After the “Live Nativity,” the community is invited to gather inside the Fellowship hall for hot cocoa and cookies along with a visit from Santa.
On Monday, Dec. 24, they have the Christmas Eve Service at 9 p.m. featuring worship and music. Ending out the month of December, Kenova United Methodist Church presents a “Night Watch” Service scheduled for Monday, Dec. 31, at 6:30 pm.
