Viola Jenkins, 94, Randolph

Viola Jenkins, 94, Randolph, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2019, at Randolph Health Services.

Viola was born Feb. 20, 1924, to parents Myrtie (Roberts) and Everett Bradley in Courtland Township, Columbia County. After high school in Randolph, she worked at the Milwaukee Journal. She was married to Bruce Jenkins in January 1952.

Viola lived in the Randolph area until 1972, when she and her husband moved to Vail, Colorado, and managed condos in the area for eight years. In 1980, the traveling duo moved onto Western Colorado to semi-retire until 1991, when they retired back to the Randolph area. Viola loved traveling to the Rocky Mountains and the warm southwestern desert, watching the humming birds and big horn sheep and had a lifelong passion for reading.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce and son, Richard.

She is survived by three children: son, James Jenkins of Georgetown, Texas, son, Charles Jenkins of Cambria, and daughter, Nancy Gehring of Fitchburg; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a brother, William Bradley of Beaver Dam.

A graveside service will be planned for the spring.
