NYC craft brewers to converge in Manhattan for beer festival
NEW YORK (AP) — New York City will bring together beer brewers from all five boroughs in lower Manhattan’s Battery Park City for a winter beer competition and festival.
Starting Thursday, the Winter Garden at Brookfield Place will be transformed into the “Winter Biergarten.” The New York Times reports craft brewers from all five city boroughs will pour samples and full drinks on a rotating basis for four weeks.
There will be a final competition on March 15, where both visitors and professional judges will determine the best beer. Admission to the Winter Biergarten is free, and food will be sold.
The price of beer is $8, and $12 for a flight of five beers from each borough.
