ROME (AP) _ Italian photographer Angelo Frontoni, known for his work with stars such as Sophia Loren, Brigitte Bardot and Ava Gardner, died Thursday in his home in Rome. He was 76.
Frontoni suffered a heart attack, said Italian police, called to the home by the photographer’s sister who found the body.
Frontoni worked as a photographer on the sets of films being shot in Rome in the 1950s and 1960s.
He became a favorite photographer of Catherine Deneuve, Claudia Cardinale and Gina Lollobrigida, among others.
``To each diva he would give his touch of magic,″ said Rino Barillari, an Italian photographer known as the ``king of paparazzi.″
In the 1990s he published a photographic book called ``My Divas.″
