Voodoo Win Mother’s Day Classic
CHELMSFORD — The Central Mass Voodoo 14U (Asadoorian) team captured its third consecutive Mother’s Day Classic championship on May 12.
The travel softball team went 7-0 over the weekend in a field of 16 teams, dominating the tournament from start to finish, scoring 96 runs. The Voodoo won the championship in convincing fashion, earning a 16-2 victory over the Worcester Rockets to stretch their winning streak at 26 games.
The Voodoo are currently ranked among the top 100 14U teams in the United States and have won 20 New England and East Coast tournaments in the past three seasons. The team also includes nationally ranked individual players and six ASA All-Americans.
