Trenton St. 95, Rutgers-Camden 71
CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) _ Derrick Johnson scored 30 points and pulled down 9 rebounds as Trenton State beat Rutgers-Camden 95-71, despite 40 points by Camden’s Douglas Dreby Saturday in the New Jersey Athletic Conference.
The loss extended the Pioneers’ record losing streak to 81 games.
Trenton State (14-7, 10-3) mounted a 47-31 lead at the half with the help of Johnson’s 22 points and the Lions were able to hold off the Pioneers (0-21, 0-15).
Nick Elisano came off the bench for Trenton to score 12 points and grab a career-high 7 rebounds for the Lions.
DeAndre Ferguson scored 10 points for the Pioneers.
