Police: Man Shot During Drug Deal In W-B

WILKES-BARRE — A man taken to a hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound told officers he had been shot by a man he knew during an attempted drug purchase early Wednesday morning, according to city police. Officers interviewed the 32-year-old man at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, police said in a news release. He said that after the shooting, he traveled by private vehicle to the hospital for treatment of a wound to his arm. Police did not release the wounded man’s name or any further details regarding the incident. The investigation continues, police said.
