Police: Man stabbed while breaking up argument on train
NEW YORK (AP) — New York City police say a 40-year-old man was stabbed when he tried breaking up an argument on a subway train in Queens.
WABC-TV reports the incident happened Wednesday evening on a northbound F train. Police say the victim tried to break up an argument between a man and a woman when the man stabbed him in the chest.
The victim was able to make it out of the station where he collapsed near the entrance. He was taken to Jamaica Hospital where he’s listed in serious but stable condition.
Authorities say the suspect fled after the stabbing. It’s unclear if he knew the woman involved in the argument.
An investigation continues.
