Brookline’s keeper came up with a fantastic save on a Chelmsford corner kick in the second half to preserve the victory.

Lowell topped Framingham in a non-league game played on Friday to improve its record to 3-1-1.

George Zuleta paced the Red Raiders’ offense with 2 goals. Poe Reh tallied a goal and assist, while Gustavo Eigueiredo potted 1 goal

Chelmsford’s winners were Jarred Huggins, Tommy Hopkins, Jack Adamson and John Clancy.

John Stark topped Pelham, 25-9, 25-18, 24-26, 25-13, in a New Hampshire match.

Ally Altieri checked in with 9 service points, including 3 aces, and 10 digs for the Pythons (1-7). Elise Hooper tallied 13 digs.

Kate Fisher (3 kills), Maria Dagher (3 blocks) and Hannah Andrewchuk (3 assists) played well.

Groton-Dunstable 3

Shepherd Hill 2

Lily Blodgett notched 11 kills, 4 blocks and 6 aces as the Crusaders outlasted Shepherd Hill, 23-25, 25-20, 19-25, 25-20, 15-8, in a non-league match Friday.

Hannah Wynn and Carolyn Mullins tallied 7 kills each. Lauren Kenney dished out 14 assists.

CROSS COUNTRY

Lowell

The Lowell High girls team competed at the Manchester (N.H.) Invitational on Saturday and finished 29th in the team standings.

Leading the way for Lowell on this hilly 5K course were Asaliah Mirambeaux (21:34), Annie Rizos (22:27), Erin McCabe (22:48), Kalei Sam (23:18) and Zil Bhagat (24:08).

Tyngsboro

The Tyngsboro boys and girls turned in solid efforts at the Amherst Invitational.

The Tigers’ girls finished 11th in the 20-team field. Running well were Sophia Campbell (26th, 20:45), Jenna Parent (54th, 21:59), Lindsey Panneton (69th, 22:26), Julie Vincent (70th, 22:26), Marissa Wonson (115th, 26:15) and Emy Hinde (117th, 26:20).

The boys came in 18th in a 23-team field. Leading the way were Nick Tassinari (58th, 17:47), Andrew Parker (91st, 18:26), Tyler Neal (115th, 18:59), Peter Lam (119th, 19:11) and Nick Andre (140th, 20:41).
