CENTRAL

AUSTIN: Water stained; 69-76 degrees; 0.70 feet low. Black bass are fair to good on topwaters early, later switching to Texas rigs and drop shot rigs. Sunfish are fair on corn and red wigglers. Catfish are fair to good on cut or live shad and nightcrawlers.

BASTROP: Water stained; 67-71 degrees. Black bass are fair on Rat-L-Traps. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are good on live bait, shrimp, liver, and bloodbait. Yellow catfish are slow.

BELTON: Water murky; 68-72 degrees; 5.47 feet high. Black bass are slow. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

BROWNWOOD: Water stained; 65-69 degrees; 0.58 feet high. Black bass are good on green pumpkin Senkos and crankbaits in 2-6 feet. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are good on swim baits, minnows, crankbaits, and spinnerbaits in 2-6 feet. Crappie are slow. Channel catfish are slow. Blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are very good on trotlines baited with perch and goldfish in 3-10 feet.

BUCHANAN: Water murky; 66-70 degrees; 0.02 feet low. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel catfish are slow. Yellow and blue catfish are slow.

CANYON LAKE: Water stained; 65-69 degrees; 0.54 feet high. Black bass are good on brown Curb’s hair jigs, watermelon lizards, and Scoundrel worms along break lines and ledges in 15-25 feet. Striped bass are good vertically jigging Pirk Minnows and Spoiler Shads. White bass are fair on ¼-oz. Blade Baits in 40 feet. Smallmouth bass are good on smoke/red flake tubes, tomato red curl tail grubs, and tomato red drop shot worms over rock piles in 12-25 feet. Crappie are fair on minnows and white tube jigs upriver. Channel catfish are slow. Yellow and blue catfish are slow.

COLEMAN: Water stained; 66-70 degrees; 0.61 feet high. Black bass are slow. Hybrid striper are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

COLORADO RIVER: (At Colorado Bend State Park) No report available.

FAYETTE: Water stained. Black bass are good on watermelon, chartreuse, and black/blue Wacky Worms and Senkos in 5-15 feet, and on chartreuse spinnerbaits and soft plastic worms. Channel and blue catfish are fair on cut shad and shrimp over baited holes.

GRANBURY: Water stained; 66-70 degrees; 0.36 feet low. Black bass are good on chartreuse/blue and pumpkinseed soft plastic worms. Striped bass are slow. White bass are fair on Li’l Fishies. Crappie are fair on minnows and blue tube jigs. Catfish are fair on shrimp and stinkbait.

GRANGER: Water murky; 65-69 degrees; 5.20 feet high. Black bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

LBJ: Water stained; 67-71 degrees; 0.84 feet low. Black bass are good on chartreuse Curb’s jigs and watermelon red tubes. Striped bass are fair on silver slabs. White bass are good on silver Pirk Minnows and Spoiler Shads. Crappie are fair on minnows over brush piles. Channel catfish are fair on minnows and nightcrawlers. Yellow and blue catfish are slow.

NAVARRO MILLS: Water murky; 66-70 degrees; 6.78 feet high. Black bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

PROCTOR: Water murky; 68-72 degrees; 8.16 feet high. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

SOMERVILLE: Water murky; 69-73 degrees; 10.27 feet high. Black bass are slow. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

STILLHOUSE HOLLOW: Water murky; 68-72 degrees; 4.13 feet high. Black bass are slow. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

WALTER E. LONG: Water stained. Black bass are fair on chartreuse crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and soft plastics. Hybrid striper are fair on spoons and silver striper jigs. WHITNEY: Water murky; 66-70 degrees; 7.93 feet high. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Catfish are slow.

NORTHEAST

ATHENS: Water clear; 72-76 degrees; 0.59 feet high. Black bass are good on black buzzbaits, topwater poppers and Texas rigged craws. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on trotlines and cut bait.

BENBROOK: Water stained; 70-74 degrees; 8.64 feet high. Black bass are slow on squarebill crankbaits, bladed jigs and Texas rigged craws. Crappie are slow on minnows. White bass are fair on slabs. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

BOB SANDLIN: Water stained; 73-76 degrees; 0.78 feet high. Black bass are fair on weightless Senkos, white buzzbaits and Texas rigged craws. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. White bass are good on slabs. Catfish are fair on trotlines and prepared bait.

BONHAM: Water lightly stained; 70-73 degrees; 0.13 feet high. Black bass are good on Texas rigged craws, hollow body frogs, and topwaters. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

BRIDGEPORT: Water lightly stained; 71-74 degrees: 0.66 feet high. Black bass are good on squarebill crankbaits, small plastic swimbaits on jigheads and Texas rigged creature baits. Crappie are good on minnows. White bass are good on slabs. Hybrid striper are good on slabs. Catfish are good on trotlines and rod and reel.

CADDO: Water stained to muddy; 73-77 degrees; 3.80 feet high. Black bass are slow on Texas rigged craws, black buzzbaits and hollow body frogs. Crappie are slow on minnows. Catfish are fair on trotlines and cut shad.

CEDAR CREEK: Water lightly stained; 72-75 degrees, 0.11 feet high. Black bass are good on white Flukes, hollow body frogs and Texas rigged craws. Crappie are good on minnows. Catfish are fair on trotlines. White bass are good on slabs and crankbaits. Hybrid striper are good on slabs.

COOPER: Water stained; 73-77 degrees; 2.19 feet high. Black bass are slow on Flukes, Texas rigged worms and topwaters. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Hybrid striper and white bass are good on slabs.

EAGLE MOUNTAIN: Water lightly stained; 71-74 degrees; 0.69 feet high. Black bass are fair on Texas rigged craws, weightless Senkos, and squarebill crankbaits. Crappie are good on minnows. Catfish are good on trotlines.

FAIRFIELD: Water lightly stained. Black bass are fair on Texas rigged craws, buzzbaits and topwater poppers. No report on other species.

FORK: Water lightly stained; 73-76 degrees; 0.02 feet high. Black bass are good on medium to deep crankbaits, soft plastic swimbaits, hollow body frogs and Texas rigged creature baits. White and yellow bass are good on slabs. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs Catfish are good on trotlines.

GRAPEVINE: Water stained; 71-74 degrees; 10.16 feet high. Black bass are slow on squarebill crankbaits, bladed jigs and Texas rigged craws. White bass and hybrid bass are fair on minnows. Crappie are slow on minnows. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

JOE POOL: Water stained; 70-74 degrees; 3.29 feet high. Black bass are slow on buzzbaits, Texas rigged creature baits and black buzzbaits. White bass are fair on slabs and crankbaits. Crappie are slow on minnows. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

LAKE O’ THE PINES: Water lightly stained; 73-77 degrees: 9.44 feet high. Black bass are good on hollow body frogs, Texas rigged creature baits and buzz frogs. White bass are good on slabs. Crappie are fair on minnows. Catfish are fair on trotlines and prepared bait.

LAVON: Water stained; 72-76 degrees: 5.02 feet high. Black bass are fair on Texas rigged creature baits, white buzzbaits and spinnerbaits. White bass are good on slabs and topwaters. Crappie are fair on minnows. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

LEWISVILLE: Water stained; 71-74 degrees; 3.68 feet high. Black bass are fair on squarebill crankbaits, Texas rigged craws and topwater poppers. White bass are good on slabs and topwaters. Crappie are fair on minnows. Catfish are good on trotlines.

MARTIN CREEK: Water lightly stained; 77-82 degrees; 0.15 feet low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigged creature baits, swim jigs and Pop Rs. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs White bass are fair on slabs. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

MONTICELLO: Water stained; 73-76 degrees; 1.85 feet low. Black bass are fair on hollow body frogs, black buzzbaits and Texas rigged craws. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are good on trotlines.

PALESTINE: Water lightly stained; 72-75 degrees; 1.99 feet high. Black bass are good on shakeyhead worms, Texas rigged creature baits and buzz frogs. Crappie are good on minnows. Hybrid striper are fair on minnows. White bass are fair on slabs. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

RAY HUBBARD: Water lightly stained; 71-74 degrees; 0.01 feet high. Black bass are good on medium crankbaits, Texas rigged craws and topwaters. Crappie are good on minnows. White bass are good on slabs and topwaters. Hybrid striper are good on slabs and topwaters. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

RICHLAND CHAMBERS: Water lightly stained; 70-74 degrees; 0.49 feet high. Black bass are good on topwaters, shakeyhead worms and Texas rigged worms. White bass are good on slabs and topwaters. Hybrid striper are good on slabs. Crappie are fair on minnows. Catfish are good on trotlines.

TAWAKONI: Water stained; 72-76 degrees; 1.74 feet high. Black bass are slow on black buzzbaits, Texas rigged creature baits and hollow body frogs. White bass are fair on slabs. Hybrid bass are good on slabs. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on trotlines and cut shad.

TEXOMA: Water stained; 70-74 degrees; 6.92 feet low. Black bass are good on Texas rigged craws, topwaters and squarebill crankbaits. Crappie are good on minnows and white jigs. Striped bass are good on slabs and topwaters. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

WEATHERFORD: Water stained; 70-73 degrees; 0.02 feet high. Black bass are fair on shakyhead worms, topwater poppers and Texas rigged craws. Crappie are good on minnows. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

WRIGHT PATMAN: Water stained; 73-76 degrees; 13.01 feet high. Black bass are fair on Texas rigged craws, hollow body frogs and buzzbaits. Crappie are fair on minnows. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

SOUTH

AMISTAD: Water stained; 70-74 degrees; 29.25 feet low. Black bass are very good on crankbaits, topwaters, Rat-L-Traps, spinnerbaits, Senkos, and jigs. Striped bass are good on topwaters and Red Fins. White bass are fair on crankbaits and minnows. Crappie are fair on minnows. Catfish are good on cheesebait, shrimp, and nightcrawlers over baited holes in 6-25 feet. Yellow catfish are fair on trotlines baited with live perch at night. Everyone in a boat must have a Mexico fishing license (if fishing the Mexico side) whether fishing or not.

BRAUNIG: Water stained. Black bass are good on crankbaits and spinnerbaits along shorelines and structure. Striped bass are fair on chicken livers and silver spoons. Redfish are good on live perch and tilapia. Channel catfish are excellent on shrimp, liver, and stinkbait. Blue catfish are fair on chicken livers, shrimp, stinkbait, and nightcrawlers. Yellow catfish are slow.

CALAVERAS: Water stained. Black bass are good on watermelon soft plastic worms and white grubs. Striped bass are good on chicken livers, shad, and spoons. Redfish are good on perch and shrimp on the bottom. Channel and blue catfish are very good on nightcrawlers, shad, and liver in 10 - 20 feet. Yellow catfish are slow.

CHOKE CANYON: Water stained; 68-72 degrees; 13.95 feet low. Black bass are good on chartreuse crankbaits and Texas rigged watermelon soft plastic lizards. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs under lights at night. Drum are slow. Channel and blue catfish are good on punchbait. Yellow catfish are good on live bait.

COLETO CREEK: Water stained; 68 degrees in the main lake, 98 degrees at the hot water discharge, 67-71 degrees in main lake; 0.10 feet high. Black bass are good on Rat-L-Traps and crankbaits. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on minnows and pink tube jigs at Coletoville Bridge in 10-12 feet. Channel and blue catfish are fair on shrimp and cut bait. Yellow catfish are slow.

CORPUS CHRISTI LAKE: Water off color; 71-76 degrees; 0.04 feet high. Black bass are fair to good on Texas rigs, 5-inch Yum Dingers and squarebill crankbaits. White bass are fair on slabs. Crappie are fair to good on live minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers and live or dead shad.

FALCON: Water stained; 69-73 degrees; 27.75 feet low. Black bass are excellent on spinnerbaits, Rat-L-Traps, crankbaits, and soft plastic worms and lizards. Striped bass are slow. Crappie are very good on minnows, grubs, and jigs. Channel and blue catfish are excellent on frozen shrimp, stinkbait, nightcrawlers, and cut bait. Yellow catfish are slow. Everyone in a boat must have a Mexico fishing license (if fishing the Mexico side) whether fishing or not.

TEXANA: Water stained; 72-78 degrees; 0.37 feet low. Black bass are fair to good on Texas rigs, chrome/black Rat-L-Traps and black/blue jigs. Crappie are fair on live minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers and cut bait.

SOUTHEAST

CONROE: Water stained; 67-71 degrees; 0.27 feet low. Black bass are fair on chartreuse/blue spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and Rat-L-Traps in 5-15 feet. Striped bass are slow. Crappie are good on minnows and Curb’s crappie jigs. Catfish are fair on stinkbait and shrimp.

GIBBONS CREEK: Water stained. Black bass are fair on watermelon and crawfish colored crankbaits and spinnerbaits. Crappie are fair on minnows and blue tube jigs. Catfish are good on stinkbait and frozen shrimp.

HOUSTON COUNTY: Water stained; 74-78 degrees; 0.94 feet high. Black bass are fair on white spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and watermelon red Wacky worms near the islands and near grassy banks along the north side of the lake. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on live minnows. Bream are slow. Channel and blue catfish to 4 pounds are good on juglines and on stinkbait off piers. Yellow catfish are slow.

LIVINGSTON: Water murky; 66-70 degrees; 1.70 feet high. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

SAM RAYBURN: Water stained; 67-71 degrees; 0.87 feet high. Black bass are fair on Carolina rigged watermelon red soft plastics and Rat-L-Traps. White bass are fair on live minnows and silver spoons. Crappie are fair on minnows. Bream are good on worms. Catfish are good on frozen shrimp, live minnows, and stinkbait.

STEINHAGEN: 0.23 feet low. No report available.

TOLEDO BEND: Water murky; 68-72 degrees; 0.86 feet low. Black bass are good on chartreuse/blue spinnerbaits and shallow running crankbaits in 6-10 feet. Striped bass are slow. White bass are good on Li’l Fishies and Rat-L-Traps. Crappie are good trolling black/chartreuse jigs over hydrilla beds. Channel and blue catfish are good on stinkbait and liver in the mouths of creeks. Yellow catfish are fair on live bait.

PANHANDLE

GREENBELT: Water off color; 57-68 degrees; 35.66 feet low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigs, shakyheads, white chatterbaits and shallow running crankbaits. Crappie are fair on live minnows under a float. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers and cut bait.

MACKENZIE: Water stained; 56-68 degrees; 79.00 feet low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigs, jigs and shakyheads. Crappie are fair on live minnows. Catfish are fair to good on cut bait and nightcrawlers.

MEREDITH: Water fairly clear; 58-66 degrees; 48.85 feet low. No reports on black or smallmouth bass. There are a few reports of walleye being caught on live bait and artificials. Bream are slow to fair on cut nightcrawlers. Channel catfish are fair on live or dead shad.

WEST

ALAN HENRY: Water clear main lake and 66 degrees, stained up the river and 73 degrees; 1.95 feet low. Black bass are good on topwaters and fair on Texas rigged worms. Crappie are fair at night on minnows. Catfishing are fair on punch bait and cut bait.

ARROWHEAD: Water stained; 58-66 degrees; 0.64 feet low. Black bass are fair to good Texas rigs, 2-inch Storm WildEye Swim Shad and white spinnerbaits. Crappie are fair to good on live minnows. Catfish are fair to good on cut bait and nightcrawlers.

COLORADO CITY: Water stained; 59-67 degrees; 12.92 feet low. Black bass are fair to good on Texas rigs, split shot rigged 3-inch watermelon/red flukes and swim jigs. Catfish are good on nightcrawlers and cut bait.

FORT PHANTOM HILL: Water stained; 58-67 degrees; 1.15 feet high. Black bass are fair to good on watermelon seed Senkos, shakyheads and Texas rigged 7-inch blue fleck Power Worms. Crappie are fair to good on live minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair to good on live and cut bait.

HUBBARD CREEK: Water stained; 58-65 degrees; 0.03 feet high. Black bass are fair to good on Texas rigs, pumpkin seed finesse jigs and squarebill crankbaits. Crappie are fair on live minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair to good on live and cut shad.

NASWORTHY: Water stained; 61-68 degrees; 0.80 feet low. Black bass are fair to good on Texas rigged black/blue Power Worms, shakyheads and lipless crankbaits. Crappie are fair to good on jigs and live minnows. Catfish are fair to good on stinkbait, live bait and nightcrawlers.

OAK CREEK: Water stained; 59-66 degrees; 0.47 feet high. Black bass are fair on white spinnerbaits, Texas rigged watermelon seed creature baits and split shot rigged flukes. Crappie are fair on live minnows. Catfish are fair to good on live and cut bait.

O.H. IVIE: Water stained; 58-67 degrees; 13.96 feet low. Black bass are fair to good on clear Rat-L-Traps, Senkos and Texas rigs. Crappie are fair to good on live minnows. Catfish are good on cut and live bait.

POSSUM KINGDOM: Water fairly clear; 64-73 degrees; 0.81 feet low. Black bass are fair to good on drop shot rigs, Texas rigs and Rapala DT10s. Crappie are fair to good on live minnows with a split shot weight in 12-20 feet. White bass are fair to good on tail spinners and live shad. Striped bass are fair to good on live shad. Catfish are fair to good on live shad and nightcrawlers.

SPENCE: Water off color; 59-67 degrees; 36.12 feet low. Black bass are fair to good on Texas rigs, silver chatterbaits and white/red swim jigs. Crappie are fair to good on live minnows under a slip cork. Catfish are fair on cut bait and nightcrawlers.

STAMFORD: Water stained to murky; 58-65 degrees; 3.07 feet high. Black bass are fair on shakyheads and Sexy Shad medium diving crankbaits. Crappie are fair on split shot rigged live minnows and marabou jigs. White bass are fair on slabs. Blue catfish are fair on cut and live bait.

SWEETWATER: Water stained; 57-68 degrees; 0.17 feet high. This lake is currently experiencing a fish kill due to golden alga. Biologists are monitoring the situation and will post updates as they become available. Fish populations have been substantially reduced by the golden alga blooms.

WHITE RIVER: Water stained; 55-67 degrees; 22.62 feet low. Black bass are fair to good on buzzbaits early and late, midday switching to Texas rigs and shallow running crankbaits. Crappie are fair to good on split shot rigged live minnows. Catfish are good live or dead minnows.

COASTAL

NORTH SABINE: Redfish are good under rafts of shad on Gulps. Redfish are fair to good at the mouths of bayous draining from the marsh.

SOUTH SABINE: Trout are fair at the jetty on live bait and topwaters. Flounder are fair on live bait at the mouths of bayous.

BOLIVAR: Trout are fair on the south shoreline on topwaters and soft plastics. Trout, sand trout and croakers are fair to good at Rollover Pass on live bait.

TRINITY BAY: Trout are fair for drifters working deep shell pads on Gamblers, Lil’ Johns and Bass Assassins. Trout, redfish and croaker are fair at the spillway on live bait.

EAST GALVESTON BAY: Trout are fair for drifters working deep shell on limetreuse, glow and plum Gamblers, Lil’ Johns and Bass Assassins. Redfish are fair while drifting the marsh.

WEST GALVESTON BAY: Sheepshead, redfish and black drum are fair at the jetty on shrimp and crabs. Trout and redfish are fair to good at the mouth of bayous on the outgoing tide on live shrimp.

TEXAS CITY: Trout are fair to good on the reefs and in the channel on live shrimp and croakers. Redfish and sand trout are fair to good in Moses Lake on shrimp. Trout are fair to good at Dollar Reef on live bait.

FREEPORT: Trout are fair at San Luis Pass on shrimp, MirrOlures and soft plastics. Trout, redfish, sand trout and sheepshead are good on live shrimp on the reefs in Christmas Bay and Chocolate Bay.

EAST MATAGORDA BAY: Trout are fair for drifters on live shrimp over mid-bay reefs on live shrimp. Redfish are fair in the middle of the bay on live shrimp near slicks when the wind allows.

WEST MATAGORDA BAY: Trout are fair on sand and grass on soft plastics and topwaters. Redfish are fair in the back reaches of the bay on mud and shell on live shrimp.

PORT O’ CONNOR: Trout and redfish are fair on topwaters and live bait over sand, grass and shell near Pass Cavallo. Trout and redfish are fair at the mouths of the back lakes on the outgoing tide.

ROCKPORT: Trout are fair in the guts and channels on free-lined shrimp. Trout are fair over grass while drifting with live shrimp. Redfish are good on the flats on piggies.

PORT ARANSAS: Trout, redfish and sheepshead are fair at the jetty on shrimp and croakers. Offshore is good for kingfish, cobia and red snapper.

CORPUS CHRISTI: Trout are fair to good on the edge of the spoils on Gulps, croakers and live shrimp. Trout are fair to good on live shrimp over sand and grass near the Packery Channel and in Oso Bay.

BAFFIN BAY: Trout are fair to good on topwaters and live bait around rocks and grass. Trout are fair to good while drifting grass around spoil islands on Bass Assassins and Gamblers.

PORT MANSFIELD: Trout are good on topwaters on the edge of the channel and around sand and grass. Redfish are fair to good while wading over sand on small topwaters.

SOUTH PADRE: Trout are fair to good on shrimp and DOA Shrimp while drifting the grass beds. Redfish are good while drifting flats with small topwaters. Snook are good while wading South Bay.

PORT ISABEL: Trout are fair to good on the deeper edges and flats on topwaters and live shrimp. Redfish are fair to good in Cullen Bay on small topwaters and live shrimp.
