MOSCOW, Idaho (AP) _ Len Casanova, the most victorious football coach in University of Oregon history, was released Sunday from Grittman Hospital where he had been kept overnight for observation.
Casanova, 80, was admitted Saturday afternoon. He was believed to be suffering from a bleeding ulcer, said LaRae Lichti, hospital emergency room supervisor.
Casanova coached the Ducks to an 82-73-8 record in 16 seasons, from 1951-66, then served the university as its athletic director for four years. He is an athletic director emeritus at Oregon.
