Second suspect arrested in fatal Fayetteville shooting
A second teen has been arrested in connection with an April shooting death in Fayetteville, police said Thursday.
Karon Howard, 18, was found wounded in a car just after midnight on April 8 at the intersection of Cliffdale and Reilly roads. He had been shot and died of as a result of his injuries later in the day, police said.
Ezra Elliott, 16, of the 1100 block of Waddell Street, was arrested Wednesday by a Hoke County school resource officer. He is charged with first-degree murder and shooting into an occupied vehicle and was being held without bond in the Cumberland County jail.
Taji M. Elliott, 16, of Pembroke, was arrested in May on the same charges. He remains in jail without bond.
