Waupun Police Beat 4-30 to 5-2, 2019

Traffic stop — Tuesday at 12 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop in the 700 block of West Lincoln Street. A 20-year-old Kenosha man was cited for operating after suspension.

Traffic stop — Tuesday at 2:15 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop on Rens Way at Visser Avenue. A 39-year-old Fond du Lac woman was cited for driving without a license.

Welfare check — Tuesday at 8:59 a.m., police responded to a residence in the 500 block of East Brown Street for a report of a suicidal subject. Police made contact with a 33 year old Waupun woman and a safety plan was put in place.

Welfare check — Wednesday at 4:02 p.m., police responded to Waupun Memorial Hospital for a report of a suicidal juvenile. The juvenile voluntarily committed to mental health treatment.

Traffic stop — Wednesday at 5:29 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop in the 600 block of West Main Street. An 18-year-old Waupun man was cited for driving after suspension.

Welfare check — Thursday at 11:20 a.m., police responded to a residence in the 700 block of East Jefferson Street for a report of a suicidal juvenile. Police made contact with the juvenile and a safety plan was put in place.

Welfare check — Thursday at 1:55 p.m., police responded to Waupun Junior/Senior High School for a report of a suicidal juvenile. Police made contact with the juvenile and a safety plan was put in place.

Welfare check — Thursday at 3:43 p.m., police responded to a residence in the 600 block of Hazel Street for a report of a subject making suicidal statements. Police made contact with a 56-year-old Waupun woman who was not suicidal.

Crash — Thursday at 7:45 p.m., police responded to a business in the 900 block of East Main Street for a report of a vehicle hitting the business. Police made contact with operator, a 90-year-old Waupun woman, who had struck the building with her vehicle after attempting to pull out of a parking stall. Minor injuries were reported and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
