Trooper who was shot moved to rehab center
A Texas Department of Public Safety trooper who was shot while responding to a crash in early April continues to recover, according to a DPS social media post.
Trooper Moises Sanchez was moved out of the intensive care unit on Tuesday and into a rehabilitation facility at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg, his wife Yvonne Sanchez said via DPS’s social media post Wednesday.
“He will undergo at least 3 hours of rehab each day before returning to the Neuro ICU for a surgery in the coming weeks,” the post read.
Sanchez’s wife once again thanked the community for its support.
