Baltimore police shoot suspect in leg, arrest 1 other
BALTIMORE (AP) — Police in Baltimore shot a man in the leg after at least three suspects were seen on the city’s surveillance cameras arming themselves with handguns.
Baltimore police said in a statement that CitiWatch camera operators spotted the men Saturday and called in patrol units. The suspects fled in separate directions.
Police say officers confronted one suspect and shot him in the leg, but didn’t specify what led to the shooting. The 20-year-old armed suspect was arrested and hospitalized with a wound not considered life-threatening.
A second 20-year-old suspect was arrested, and his weapon was recovered from a dumpster. The camera operator tracked a third suspect throwing his gun into a dumpster. The gun was found, but the suspect hasn’t been caught.
No officers were injured. Further details haven’t been released.
