Camp Guernsey provides weapon zeroing for hunters

August 25, 2018

CAMP GUERNSEY JOINT TRAINING CENTER, Wyo.—With hunting season right around the corner, it’s a good time to make sure your weapon’s sights are zeroed. Camp Guernsey Joint Training Center is providing the public an opportunity to do that on Sept. 14 and 15 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the South Training Area’s Known Distance Range and pistol range.

Camp Guernsey’s Range Control staff will be on site to provide safety and offer assistance. There is no need to check in with the fires desk. Go straight to the ranges.

“It will be available to anyone who wants to come out and use it,” said Capt. Joshua Marshall, range operations manager. “Arrive early! The ranges will stay open until the last person leaves or 3 p.m., whichever is earlier. S4 range can support shooting out to distances of 1,000 yards.”

The ranges are located on South Guernsey Road just south of the golf course, and will be open by 7:30 a.m. both days. Shooting can commence at 8 a.m.
