WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) — A man wanted on a murder warrant out of New York has been captured in Massachusetts.
Police in Worcester acting on a tip that he was in the area apprehended 29-year-old Eddie Carrasquillo without resistance at about 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Carrasquillo is wanted on a warrant for second-degree murder, second-degree weapons offenses and second-degree assault in connection with a fatal shooting in Syracuse, New York, on Aug. 3.
Worcester police say two brothers in their 30s were shot multiple times while sitting on their front porch. One died and the other was seriously hurt.
Carrasquillo is scheduled to be arraigned in Massachusetts on Thursday on a fugitive from justice charge. It’s not clear if he has a lawyer.
