Milford cops charge 2 men in separate threatening incidents
MILFORD — Two city residents were recently arrested in two separate incidents where they each allegedly threatened to kill a woman, police said Tuesday.
Wunda Pangu, 23, of Midwood Road, was charged with second-degree threatening. And 44-year-old Huseyin Unal, of East Broadway, faces that same charge.
Police said that on Monday, officers were first dispatched to a home on Marino Drive around 1:50 p.m. on a report of a possible domestic violence incident that had happened earlier that day. An investigation led officers to arrest Pangu, who is accused of threatening to kill a woman during a verbal arguement.
Later that day, around 5:30 p.m., police got a complaint that a man left a threatening voicemail on the complainant’s phone. Through an investigation, police were able to arrest Unal, who is accused of threatening to kill a woman in the voicemail.
Police said Pangu was released on a promise to appear and was scheduled to be in court on Tuesday. Unal was held on a $25,000 bond, police said. He was also expected in court on Tuesday.
There were no updated court records available for either man later Tuesday night.
Though the two incidents have similarities, Milford Police Officer Mike DeVito said they are “different cases entirely.”
