Turkeyfoot PTSO president charged with theft

The president of the Turkeyfoot PTSO has been charged with stealing thousands of dollars from the organization.

State police charged Tiffany Renee Nicholson, 35, Polk Hill Road, Addison, with 13 counts each of theft, receiving stolen property and forgery Wednesday.

Police spoke with PTSO members Lisa Younkin and Amanda Hoover in February. They said that they had grown suspicious of Nicholson after she reported that the PTSO was low on money after having one of its most successful years, police said.

Younkin contacted their bank and noticed that 12 checks appeared to have been forged with their names. Each check was co-signed by Nicholson, according to court documents. The total value of the checks was $6,404.78.
