LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Kentucky’s Republican governor has lost another round in a legal fight over his efforts to require poor people to get a job to keep their Medicaid benefits. A federal judge in Kentucky on Monday dismissed Gov. Matt Bevin’s lawsuit seeking a ruling that his proposed changes to the state’s Medicaid program were lawful. 400 words.

ARKANSAS-VETERANS HOME — The Arkansas Department of Veterans Affairs will receive more of the state’s “rainy day” funds to subsidize the operations of a new veterans nursing home.

LITTLE ROCK-STOLEN COINS — Police in Little Rock say about $10,000 worth of collectible coins and silverware were stolen from the home of a well-known public relations executive who died last week.

ARKANSAS FLOODING — Storms moved across northern Arkansas, dumping heavy rain and causing flooding in the town of Clinton.
