Mayville teen in car crash identified
THERESA -- Alex E. Nortman, 18, has been identified as the man who died in a two-vehicle crash Thursday in the town of Theresa.
According to information from the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, a car traveling north on Freedom Road driven by a 19-year-old Mayville man failed to stop at the Hochheim Road intersection at 7:05 p.m. and collided with a truck traveling west on Hochheim Road driven by a 26-year-old Mayville man.
The driver of the car was transported by ambulance to Aurora Summit in Oconomowoc for nonlife-threatening injuries. There were three passengers in the car, including Nortman who was pronounced dead at the scene by the Dodge County Medical Examiner’s Office. Another 19-year-old Mayville man with serious nonlife-threatening injuries was flown from the scene by Flight for Life to Aurora Summit. A 16-year-old girl from Theresa was transported by ambulance to Aurora Summit with nonlife-threatening injuries.
The pickup driver was transported with nonlife-threatening injuries by ambulance to Aurora Summit.
The names of those involved are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Assisting on scene were Theresa Fire/EMS, Allenton Fire/EMS, Mayville EMS, West Bend Paramedics, Flight For Life, the Dodge County Medical Examiner’s Office, Dodge County Sheriff’s Office chaplain and Wisconsin State Patrol.
