Sem’s Reznick Named NFHCA All-American

January 31, 2019

Wyoming Seminary senior Kelsey Reznick was named a second-team All-American on Wednesday by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association.

It is Reznick’s second straight year on the All-America team. She was a second-team selection last season, as well.

A multi-positional standout who excelled late this season as the center-back, Reznick anchored one of the top defenses in the nation.

En route to winning a state championship, Sem shut out all four opponents it faced in the state playoffs.

Reznick recorded 21 assists and eight goals, including a penalty stroke in Sem’s 2-0 PIAA Class A championship win against Newport.

The Drums resident has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue her career at Duke.

Reznick’s offseason has included making all-state, all-region and now All-America, while she was also chosen Citizens’ Voice Player of the Year.

Earlier this week, Reznick was selected to the U.S. U-19 women’s national field hockey team.

The All-America team featured only 48 players — 16 each on the first, second and third teams.

Reznick was one of 12 Pennsylvanians on the team.
