Somerset magistrate reports: May 21
The following preliminary hearings are scheduled before District Judge Ken Johnson in Somerset:
Mikhail Avagimyan, 28, Lyndhurst Road, Lyndhurst, Ohio, was charged Monday with marijuana possession and a summary offense. According to a probable-cause affidavit, on Friday state police stopped a vehicle driven by Avagimyan along the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Somerset Township for speeding. Police found a small amount of marijuana in the vehicle, according to the affidavit. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 3:15 p.m. July 30.
Driving under the influence
Terrell Price, 22, Jefferson Street, Latrobe, was charged May 14 with three counts of driving under the influence, marijuana possession, drug paraphernalia possession and five summary offenses. According to a probable-cause affidavit, on April 21 state police stopped a vehicle driven by Price along North Center Avenue in Somerset Borough for an expired registration and driver’s license. Police found a small amount of marijuana and a smoking device in the vehicle, according to the affidavit. A blood test showed Price had marijuana in his system at the time of the stop. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. July 2.
