Fire breaks out at Bismarck apartment building
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Authorities say tenants of a six-unit apartment building in Bismarck made it out safely after a fire broke out.
Firefighters arriving on scene Tuesday night found smoke and flames coming from the third floor of the building. Crews searched all the units to make sure no one remained inside.
Officials say the fire appeared to have started in the kitchen stove area of one of the apartments. Fire damage was limited to the single apartment with smoke damage to other units.
