San Antonio Rampage fall to extend losing streak to five

The San Antonio Rampage suffered their fifth straight loss on Saturday, falling 6-2 to the Chicago Wolves at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Ill.

The Rampage drop to 27-31-6, including 6-23-4 on the road after losing all four matches of their current road trip. The Wolves are 37-19-7.

The Wolves opened the scoring in the first and tallied three goals in the first 10 minutes of the second period to build a 4-0 lead. After Mitch Reinke put San Antonio on the board, Chicago scored again before Jordan Nolan tallied to pull the Rampage within 5-2. The Wolves scored the only goal of the third period.

Rampage goalie Jared Coreau made 20 saves against 26 shots, as San Antonio outshot Chicago 33-26. Mark Cooper, Trevor Smith and Conner Bleackley earned assists for the Rampage.

San Antonio returns to the AT&T Center to host the Grand Rapids Griffins at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
