January 16, 2019

A Run Ranger Run kickoff event will be held at Brown’s Shoe Fit Co. in Watertown Saturday starting at noon.

The event will include informational literature for those interested in learning more about the Run Ranger Run, an event starting next month that supports veterans making the transition from military to civilian life. Starting shortly after noon Saturday, the public is invited to take part in either a 5K run or 10-mile bike ride, with participants being sent out in waves depending on the number of people attending.

No registration is required to participate in the kickoff event. To learn more, call Eric at 952-261-6042 or Run Ranger Run community ambassador Jonathan Williquette at 920-245-5285.

According to its website, runrangerrun.com, the Run Ranger Run involves teams from around the country and world walking, running, riding bicycles and more for a set number of miles during the month of February to raise funds for GallantFew, a nonprofit organization helping veterans transition from military to civilian life.
