PRINCETON, N.J. (AP) _ Steve Goodrich had 17 points and Brian Earl scored all 12 of his in the second half as No. 9 Princeton pulled away to a 74-53 win over Dartmouth on Saturday.
Princeton (23-1, 11-0) extended its winning streak to 16 games by beating Dartmouth (6-18, 3-9) for the seventh straight time.
The Tigers moved within two games of winning their third straight Ivy League title. They could clinch Friday if they beat Columbia and Pennsylvania loses to Cornell.
Shaun Gee had 21 points for Dartmouth, which never trailed in the first half.
The game was tied 28-28 at halftime and Princeton did not take its first lead until Earl, who had played two previous games on a bad ankle, hit a 3-pointer to make it 32-30.
Leading 37-36 with 14:24 remaining, Princeton went on a 21-4 run that opened a 58-40 lead with 7:36 remaining. Mitch Henderson’s jumper started the spurt while Earl and Goodrich each added seven points.
With 1:43 remaining, Goodrich, Henderson and Jamie Mastaglio came off to a standing ovation from the sellout crowd. They are among five seniors who played their final game at Jadwin Gym and tied the school record of 85 home wins set by the Class of 1992.
The Tigers went 13-0 at home this year, marking the first time since 1991-92 they swept a season at Jadwin.
