Duo attacked, robbed woman outside downtown Cleveland strip club

CLEVELAND, Ohio— A 36-year-old woman was attacked and robbed outside a downtown Cleveland strip club, police said.

No arrests have been made in the incident that happened about 3 a.m. Saturday outside Magic City strip club on St. Clair Avenue and East 23rd Street.

The woman told police her night started out having drinks with one of her eventual attackers at Milton’s Lounge in Euclid.

The man drove her to Magic City so they could continue drinking, the woman told police.

The two walked outside the strip club and the man and another man attacked her. She said they shoved her to the ground and they punched and dragged her across the pavement, police reports say.

They stole her purse and threw her phone in the middle of St. Clair Avenue, according to police reports.

The men stole about $100 from her purse, jumped in a car together and sped away, police reports say.

Officers noted finding the woman sitting on the sidewalk covered in blood and screaming hysterically.

The woman was taken to University Hospitals for treatment.
