STOCKHOLM, Sweden (AP) _ Ericsson Microelectronics AB has agreed to sell its component distribution business to Eurodis Electron PLC of Britain for about $43 million in cash.

The deal disclosed Tuesday is expected to close at the end of September, Ericsson said in a news release.

Ericsson Microelectronics Europe AB is the second largest component distributor in the Nordic area, with over 225 employees. Its product portfolio includes Hitachi, International Rectifier, ITT Canon, Kemet and Toshiba.

Eurodis is the third largest distributor in Europe. Its headquarters is in Surrey, Britain.
