‘Battle of the Sinatras’ set for Greensburg Salem Middle School

November 20, 2018

Greensburg Salem Middle School will be rockin’ Nov. 2, as Glass City Swing Band and five Westmoreland County high school students present the “Battle of the Sinatras.”

The first half of the concert will feature the students emulating Ol’ Blue Eyes while competing for a cash prize.

Following the competition, the band and its vocalists, Todd Reagan and Caryn Dettling, will treat the audience to more Frank Sinatra songs.

The audience will have a hand in judging the vocal competition, along with Rod Booker, former music director for Hempfield Area High School and Westmoreland County Community College, and Kelli Brisbane, assistant to the president and special events coordinator for the Westmoreland Cultural Trust.

The concert is set for 7 p.m. in the school at 301 N. Main St., Greensburg.

Tickets are $12.50, or $7 for students.
