Pair charged with vandalizing dozens of cars in Fayetteville
Police said Friday that two Fayetteville men have been charged in a vandalism spree in the city.
Jackie M. Booker Jr., 19, of the 1300 block of Gary Street, and Richard Sumter, 19, of the 3900 block of Brentwood Drive, were each charged with 50 counts of damage to personal property and 50 counts of conspiracy.
Dozens of vehicles in and around the Devonwood neighborhood were damaged by pellet guns between Jan. 21 and Feb. 8, police said.
Booker and Sumter were being held in the Cumberland County jail under $68,000 secured bonds.
