3 charged after Mississippi man’s body is found in well
GRENADA, Miss. (AP) — Three people in Mississippi are charged with capital murder after a man’s body was found in a well.
Grenada County Deputy Sheriff Eric Williamson says 31-year-old Monique Lott; her brother, 32-year-old Mack Lott; and 27-year-old Marquize Tillmon are charged in the death of 37-year-old Willie Hooper.
Williamson says Monique Lott has been dating Hooper’s ex-girlfriend.
Investigators believe Hooper was shot and killed Sunday at a home in rural Grenada County after going to visit his ex-girlfriend.
Authorities on Thursday pulled his body from a well on property owned by the Lotts’ relatives in nearby Montgomery County.
All three suspects are being held in the Grenada County jail without bond. They are represented by public defenders, and efforts to reach those attorneys for comment Friday were not immediately successful.
