October 4, 2018

JEFFERSON -- The city of Jefferson has a new city clerk/deputy treasurer in Sarah Copsey, as her advancement to that position within the city offices was approved by the common council Tuesday evening.

Copsey replaces Mary Kuehl, who has taken the position of clerk and treasurer in Delafield.

Also approved Tuesday evening during a brief regular session of the council for early October was the hiring of Cole Gerber as a full-time police officer for the city. Gerber had been serving as a part-time officer.

Other resolutions approved included ones calling for:

-- Authorization of the sale of goods in city right-of-way to vendors for the Warriors and Wizards Festival.

-- The hiring of a deputy clerk/treasurer.

-- The hiring of a city hall administrative assistant.
