Allen Back at Practice for Pats
FOXBORO -- The Patriots had perfect practice attendance Thursday, as tight end Dwayne Allen returned from an extended absence.
Allen, who has primarily served as a blocker for the Pats, suffered a knee injury in the Week 10 loss to the Titans. He missed five practices and one game -- Sunday’s win over the Jets -- before getting back on the field.
The 6-foot-3, 265-pound Allen can handle blocking responsibilities when the Patriots go with two tight end formations.
The Patriots will release their second injury report of the week later this afternoon. On yesterday’s injury report, only quarterback Tom Brady and safety Nate Ebner were listed as limited participants.
The 8-3 Pats host the 6-4-1 Vikings on Sunday.
