ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) _ Former big league infielders Archi Cianforcco and Carlos Garcia, who had signed minor league contracts with the Anaheim Angels, were released Friday.

Cianfrocco, 33, hit .217 in nine spring training games, while Garcia, 32, was hitless in 14 at-bats in 10 games.

Cianfrocco has a .241 career average in 500 games with 34 homers and 185 RBIs for Montreal and San Diego. Garcia has a .266 average in 610 games with 33 homers and 197 RBIs for Pittsburgh, Toronto, Anaheim and San Diego.

The moves reduced the Angels' spring camp to 47, including 13 non-roster players.
