FLORENCE, S.C. – Florence One Schools Superintendent Richard O’Malley will speak at a forum for parents of special education students from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday at Room 2A of the Poynor Adult Education School.

The forum will be hosted by All 4 Autism.

The Poynor Adult Education School is located at 301 S. Dargan St. in downtown Florence.

The purpose of the meeting is to have parents share their experience with special education services in the district and for O’Malley to discuss his vision and plans for future improvements.

“We are excited about the opportunity to have caregivers of students in our special education programs discuss their experiences and ask questions about future plans for increased support and services,” said Jessica Brown, the executive director for All 4 Autism. “We appreciate Dr. O’Malley’s willingness to meet with our parents and the enthusiasm and experience he brings to our district.”

This question-and-answer session is for caregivers of all special education students, not just those with autism.
